Kind-hearted KC employees have donated hundreds of toiletry items to local charity Hull Homeless and Rootless Project following a recent collection.
Over 550 items were handed over to the charity which has been providing support to homeless people in the area for over 30 years.
It will distribute the toiletries to the many people who rely on its continued help.
Brendon Smurthwaite, KC’s Community Coordinator, said:
“We organise a charity collection across our Hull offices each January and this year decided to do it on behalf of Hull HARP.
“They do some tremendous work and it was great to see our people give so generously to a very worthy cause.
“It’s always nice to be able to make a difference and hopefully we’ve done that through this collection.”
Linda Tock, Manager at Hull HARP, added:
“Receiving so many toiletry items was great as we always need so many for our clients and rough sleepers.
“Toiletry items are not the first thing that comes to mind when you’re homeless, have little or no money and are hungry.
“However, at Dock House we provide space and time for people to get a shower and to freshen up. It was like Christmas all over again with so many different toiletries being donated.”
