· Homelessness Hull City Council
We can help you if you are homeless or you think you are going to become homeless.
We offer a housing options duty service from Monday to Friday. Please call 01482 300 300 or visit any customer service centre or information point.
In most instances we will arrange for you to see a housing option duty officer the same day you contact us, or at a time that is more convenient for you.
Initially the duty officer will try and prevent you from becoming homeless. We use various prevention methods including negotiating with landlords, mediating with family or friends and liaising with other agencies.
We can provide advice to help you secure alternative accommodation if needed. This could be in the form of a hostel, housing association accommodation, privately rented accommodation or through our Hull HomeSearch lettings scheme.
Under Government legalisation there may be restrictions to the assistance we can offer. For further information please contact us.
